Claire – our very own potato expert
Claire is sometimes introduced as "The Potato Princess", a nickname that is completely deserved as her sheer enthusiasm and dedication for fresh and seasonal food has helped countless chefs, caterers and journalists see potatoes in a new light and understand that not just any old potato will do.
To Claire, potatoes are not just a product sold in a box or a plastic bag but a way of life and something she grew up with as the daughter of a prominent fruit and vegetable wholesaler. Her father had a maxim which he lived by: work with the farmers. Today, married to a potato farmer and living on a working farm, Claire exemplifies this rule – as do Potato Lovers. Only by choosing the right farmers and working closely with them, will the potatoes be at their best.
Potatoes are for eating and no-one knows this better than Claire. She loves to cook them, too. And because she cooks at home for her family, her cooking is rooted in the seasonal rhythms of farm life.
