QV Foods on the Asda stand at The Royal Cornwall Show 2011
The team from QV Foods were on the Asda stand at this year’s Royal Cornwall Show. Showcasing QV’s new Cornish Crystal™. The new season potato, grown by Mark Rowe our Cornish grower, and supplied exclusively to Asda, it was a great opportunity to celebrate this regional success in conjunction with Asda at the Show.
The Asda stand included a display of Mark’s Cornish potatoes alongside other locally grown produce, together with a display dedicated to the lifecycle of a potato plant as part of the educational section of the stand. Mark also supplied potato plants in tubs to use as educational aids for children.
Also featured on the stand were Asda’s chef’s cooking up delicious three course meals for the public, comprising of products sourced in Cornwall by Asda, including Mark’s Cornish Crystal™ which were sautéed and seasoned with salt & pepper.
Despite the odd shower the Show, and Asda’s stand, were very well attended with much praise from the public on Asda’s commitment to local supply.”
