First annual Juliette Dinner heralds the start of the New Season

To mark the start of the new season’s Juliette potatoes and the launch of the Potato Lovers brand, the first annual Juliette Dinner is to take place in Cornwall on midsummer's day.

Food writers, together with top chefs Mark Hix, Mitchell Tonks, Pierre Kaufman, Anton Edelmann and Paul Gayler will dig the first of the new Juliette crop in a field overlooking the sea on the south west corner of Cornwall. They will then enjoy the Juliette that they have dug at the first annual Juliette Dinner to be held later that evening.

The menu for the Juliette Dinner has been chosen to complement the deliciously fresh and delicate flavour of the Juliette potatoes and will consist of locally grown and produced seasonal ingredients.

Potato Lovers® Claire Harrison says ‘Juliette is a superior tasting potato and its flavour when it is first lifted is second to none. The lifting of the first Juliette potatoes and the following dinner will be a wonderful celebration of the start of the new season.’

The new season’s Juliette potatoes will be available in 10kg boxes or 2kg pouch packs from wholesalers and distributors nationwide from 23rd June.
